Call Service was founded in Melbourne in 1951 by Elly Hamilton.
Her aim was to provide Melbourne’s medical community with a confidential and reliable telephone answering service that operated 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Beginning with 11 doctors, the service grew rapidly and was supporting more than 300 clients by 1961.
As the first 24-hour telephone answering service of its kind in Australia, Call Service established a tradition of personal, dependable call handling that continues today.
